“If anyone hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge that person. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day. John 12: 47-48
If you run into someone who has never set foot in a church or opened a Bible I’d be willing to bet they can quote (or mis-quote) “Thou shall not judge”. Unfortunately it is used often and largely inaccurately.
My concern is, if you quote the Bible then you must realize there is an author of the Bible therefore acknowledging His existence. One day He is going to judge – and that is what we all should be concerned about. You don’t want to hear a rebuke from an earthly person – fine. At the end of the day, that person has no hell or heaven to put you in – HOWEVER there is one who does. Open the Bible and see what He has to say about the matter…. because He is a righteous judge.
